Summary

Yeonghae 3.1 Cultural Festival is held to commemorate the independence movement which 3000 persons of Nothern territories rose against Japan in Yeonghae market on March 18th, 1919.
People march from Yeonghae rottery to "3.1 memorial tower" and hold
a memorial service annually.
It is held the Gen. Shin Dolseok military ceremony, the torch lighting and marching ceremony along the street on Feb 28th as a eve event.
